730 days! So many wonderful memories fill all those days with our wonderful son. In just the last year, Owen has mastered walking and is now running and jumping, he can throw and even catch a ball, he can eat everything and anything we eat. He has eaten ice cream, beets, venison, homegrown tomatoes and zucchini, and he will try anything at least once. He has been camping, hiking, swimming, fishing and sledding; he traveled on an airplane to Oregon and Texas. He dyed his first Easter eggs, peed and pooped in the toilet for the first time, got a pet fish of his very own, and even kissed a girl, Alexandra, at his party. He has learned how to say hundreds of words and now uses sentences that he forms on his own; our favorite of course is "I love you mommy and daddy."
Everything he does amazes us, from the smallest kindnesses to the big milestone steps. It has been a busy and exciting year, what could possibly be in store for year three? I think we are really going to see his personally shine because this kid thinks he is a comedian, a model, a skilled swimmer, a singer, a contractor, an athlete, and a dancer. He is all that and more... he is our little man. We are bursting with pride and love for this little creature who came screeching like a pterodactyl into our lives just 730 days ago.

Owen's Superhero 2nd Birthday
Happy Birthday Super Owen!
Superhero capes, balloons, and cake = Party!! Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful afternoon. Owen was so excited that he wouldn't even take a nap before everyone arrived. The kids decorated their own capes and they looked great. Everyone played on Owen's new climber-slide.
Owen looks terrified in the photo where we are lighting the cake. I think he thought we were going to ruin this cake that he had been asking to eat all day long. We all had a great time and Owen really enjoyed seeing all his friends and loved his gifts. He was a tired little boy after a wonderful day.

Forth of July 2011
Owen stayed up way past his bedtime to watch the fireworks. And after a long day playing in the pool, and running around with Donovan and Alexandra, he was very tired.

Zoo Day
It was one of those rare Saturday mornings when all three of us were together with no plans. So, we got out early because it was hot hot hot and went to the Sacramento Zoo. We got to see the new giraffe and the duiker, plus all our favorite cats and primates. After sharing a pretzel and soft serve we finished our day out with a train ride.

Why are those kids jumping in the restaurant?
Stone and Owen were being so cute and giving each other hugs and kisses so I get out the camera and what do they do - start jumping up and down and acting like crazy monkeys. I promise we actually made them stop jumping, only after we got this cute video.
