Santa Barbara Slideshow

We had such a good time in Santa Barbara and Owen was such a trooper. He wanted to stay and enjoy the surf some more. He loved the sounds of the ocean and dozed in the breeze. The trip home was long because we were all hot and tired. Owen made it a little more interesting during one diaper stop: he went through 3 diapers during one changing, pee'd on my seat and his blanket, and pooped mid changing.

Paige and steven get married.

Today we went to the Springhorn/Osborn wedding in Santa Barbara. Owen was a gentleman the whole time, and was pretty good with the ladies! Congrats to steven and paige!!!

Road trip!!!!

Today we drove down to Santa Barbara for the spinghorn wedding tomorrow. Owen behaved very well during the seven hour drive - only a few diaper changes and a couple feedings. Owen saw the ocean for the first time and even got to put his feet in the water and the sand.

After the beach we went into downtown and enjoyed some excellent sushi. Owen slept the entire time and allowed us to enjoy the meal. Then we had a great walk on state street and enjoyed the annual Santa Barbara fiesta. So far - a great trip and we are looking forward to the wedding tomorrow.

Sleepy baby

Owen needed a lot of extra rest today since he did not get much sleep last night. Which meant neither did Mom:(
Well I think Owen will be well rested for our trip tomorrow since he pretty much slept all day. He is really sweet when he sleeps, especially when he practices his smile and other funny faces.

Hangin with dad

Dad had an admin day today and did reports from home. He got to hang out with baby Owen during the day and night. Owen loves listening to dads voice because it calms him down when he is crying.

How cute is this face?



Well this is not the face I get when I sit down to eat. He was this calm and happy while I made dinner. I only had to stop once to change him and thought I was in the clear to eat. Not so much though. The angry hungry man wanted a snack NOW. So far everytime I try to eat on my own, my food gets cold before I get finished. And as soon as I finish Owen is charming and sweet again. Oh well, we'll figure out a dinnertime routine eventually.

Cousins make the best babysitters

Cousin Amanda loved holding Owen and did not want to give him up. He slept peacefully in her arms all afternoon.
