Happy Turkey Day!

This year we give thanks for family, friends, poop and baby smiles.
Owen is supper cute in his lumberjack outfit today. Yesterday he was feeling a little backed up, 20 hours between poops makes for an unhappy boy. Switched his rice cereal to oatmeal and he is doing a lot better today.

Owen had so much fun hanging out with his cousins. Madelyn gave him lots of luv and Stone showed him some new cool tricks.

Owen and cousin stone had a really fun weekend together. Owen was facinated by Stones ability to grab toys and shake them. And he luvs his deep boisterous laugh.

Owen tried out his new coat in the rain today when he went shopping with dad.



Then he used his charm on Lindsey and look she is holding the baby and smiling, sort of.

We just ran five miles - I stayed awake and happy the whole time. I wore my coat because it was windy.

Owen has been helping dad with his sit-ups each night. He thinks it is lots of fun and is super smiley. Owen also likes to hang out on the floor next to dad and kick his feet like crazy; he's doing his flutter kicks.

This chair is just a little too big for Owen. But he loves rocking in it and reading books with mommy or daddy.

4-month Birthday - rice cereal!

Owen is 4 months old today and getting his first taste of rice cereal. Well it is mostly just milk, but the spoon is definitely new to him.

Pene had her first day out on the patrol boat.



She especially liked going fast and letting her ears flop in the wind.

A new yard

Adam laid the sod in the backyard while grandma watched the kid this week. All he has left to finish is the garden. This was all just dirt when we moved in last summer. The dogs will be so happy this winter to be mud free.


And Owen will be thowing his football out there in no time. For now he is just resting up.

I should have known that trying to get Owen to start sleeping in his crib the week grandma comes to visit would be a bad idea.

It's time to get this boy to nap in his crib. Morning nap -success. Noon nap - 5 minutes then awake. Afternoon nap - suckered grandma into letting him sleep in her arms. Well 30 percent isn't bad, maybe he'll be a baseball player with that average.

No body told my baby that you are supposed to sleep during that extra hour. So we were wide awake at 6 am. Owen then took a lot of short naps during the day. I think he's going through a growth spurt.
He's also been perfecting his roll from stomach to back.
