Vaguely avian yellow creatures - the sneetches

Two sneetches; a monkey giving a flower to an eagle; a long-necked bird as a height chart; and a fishing boy.

Now the room is half way done. Two more walls to go, with lots of fish, Horton and Cat in the Hat still to come.

All that is left to do on this wall is add the name to the sign.


Adam was going to do a really girly fish instead of the tough lobster if it was a girl.

Then, out of the box came...

Thing Two and Thing One! And they ran to us fast. They said, "How do you do?"

Taking the baby for a jog

Testing out the new jogging stroller. Jax was not terribly thrilled when I strapped him in, but didn't seem to mind too much as we rolled around the house in the new stroller. We really wanted to see how it moved with some weight in it and Jax is just the right size at 30 lbs. I don't think this is really what Mom had in mind with this gift- but Thanks, it is great!

Who hasn't read this book?! Numbers and colors, now we are off to the right start.

One Wall Done - paint and all

The far wall is complete. Adam finished up this wall today, now 1/4 of the the way done. Well not really, the other walls are bigger. I really like the character with the pale green pants. So far, my contribution was the brown truck on the tree on the left side - wow that trunk looks good too :)

This is a video of the sketched room. It is a bit shaky and I had to climb across the room to do it so it is not my best work ever. But this is a better way to see the whole room and get the dimensions.

Why Blog??

We want to find that middle ground between being those crazy people who send pictures every day and those less crazy people who only bother our family and friends every other day with photos and video. So here is our blog. Stay tuned if you like and we will do our best to update our blog with new photos or video of the baby's room, or as we are calling it, Adam's art studio.
